What is Superstar Racing?

Superstar Racing is a multiplayer racing game from 2009. You create your own driver, meet other players in the paddock, tune your car and race against drivers from all over the world. The original servers closed years ago; this community server brings the game back, free to play.

What is the EXP edition?

EXP is a rebuilt, modded Superstar Racing made by another community project, with a new paddock, a tournament stage, EXP-only tracks, the GT3 car and its own shop. On our server EXP and 2009 drivers share the same accounts, teams and races. Pick the game you want in the launcher.

What are Credits, CR$ and Team Funds?

Credits are earned by racing and buy clothes and colours. New drivers start with 5,000.

CR$ buy premium items and VIP days in the shop. You get 50 CR$ when you create your account, and you can win more in the Superstar Lottery. CR$ cannot be bought with real money on this server.

Team Funds belong to your team. Team members earn them in races, and they buy car parts.

How do race points work?

You get points for your finishing position and bonuses, once per race. VIP drivers and new drivers get double points. Racing in a team also earns team points.

What are Achievements and medals?

Achievements are goals in the game, from your first race to big milestones. Each achievement prize, quest reward and time challenge medal is paid once per account.

The game is running slowly?

Close other programs that use the graphics card, update your graphics driver, and start the game from the launcher. If it is still slow, tell us your PC's details on the Help & Support forum.

Does it cost anything to play?

No. Superstar Racing on this server is free. There are no payments, subscriptions or credit cards, and nobody from the staff will ever ask you for money or your password.

How do I get VIP?

Buy VIP days with CR$ in the in-game shop, or win VIP in the Superstar Lottery. VIP drivers get double race points and the VIP gift in the Lottery.

What is the Superstar Lottery?

Every 20 hours you can open a free gift in the Lottery. VIP drivers can open a premium gift too. Prizes include CR$, credits, Team Funds, car parts, clothes and VIP days.

I bought something I already have?

The shop tells you that you already have the item and does not charge you.

How do I create an account?

Install the launcher, press Play and choose to create an account in the game. Your password is set the first time you log in with it, so remember what you type.

Does my old Superstar Racing account work?

No. Accounts from the original servers do not exist here. Create a new account in the game; your driver name is yours if nobody has taken it yet.

How do I change my e-mail address?

Ask a staff member on the Help & Support forum and they will change it for you. Changing it from the game's My Account page does not work on this server yet.

I have forgotten my password?

Ask the staff on the Help & Support forum or in the game. A staff member resets your account; the next time you log in, the password you type becomes your new password.

How do I log in to the forums?

Use your game driver name and password. If you have just created your account, log in to the game once first so that your password is set.

I have been banned from the game, what should I do?

Bans are given by the staff for breaking the rules, and some end by themselves after a while. If you think a ban is a mistake, contact a staff member in the game or ask a friend to post for you on the forum.

What do I need to play?

A PC with Windows 10 or 11 and an internet connection. Download the installer; it sets up the launcher with both games.

How do updates work?

The launcher checks for updates by itself and installs them with one click. Updates are signed, and the launcher checks every file before it uses it.

Why does EXP ask for administrator permission?

The EXP game always connects to one fixed server name built into it. The first time you play EXP, the launcher points that name at our server in your PC's hosts file, which needs administrator permission once. It changes nothing else.

The launcher says the server is offline?

Check your internet connection and try again in a few minutes; the server may be restarting for an update. Server news is posted on the News page and the forum.

I cannot chat with other players.

Chat works in the paddock rooms, in your country's chat channel and in your team channel. Private messages reach players who are online. The Paddocks list in the Communicator shows where other drivers are.

How do I reach the staff?

Post on the Help & Support forum, report problems on Bug Reports, or talk to a Game Master in the game.
